Esther Aminata Kamara is a Dutch-Sierra Leonean writer and researcher that explores the bridges and boundaries between West- African and western culture. She holds a BA Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam, and is currently finalising her MA Media Studies with a specialisation in digital cultures from the University of Maastricht. Her dual nationality allows Esther to delve deeper into cross-cultural issues, including the impact and development of technology and access to cultural texts, digital tools and creative skills. For the past six years, Esther has worked as a writer and researcher, helped establish the Freetown Music Festival, and sets up (online) spaces where writers can connect, share, and improve their writing.”
